New Year, New Leaf, New DT Members!

Wishing you all the best in the coming year.

The above card is simply made using Leaf (Jo Capper-Sandon for Stampotique) and Turn over a new leaf (Janet Klein for Stampotique).

Don't forget to let Carol have your details if you are interested in belonging to the Stampotique Design Team. (see two posts below here for further details). All you need to do to get the ball rolling is send in your name, blog details, state/country, and tell us who your favourite Stampotique stamp designer is (there are quite a few to choose from!)

It's THAT simple!!

Stampotique look for a broad spectrum of styles...neat, tidy, messy, distressed, ...errr, Happy, Grumpy and Dopey (lol, Carol could be Snow White lol)

Anyway...Carol would love to hear from you, what have you got to lose?

And what better way to kick start the New Year!!

Design Team Call

Call for DESIGN TEAM MEMBERS now...........

As you all know, nothing lasts forever and through this year we've lost a few DT members due to life happenings.  We are once again in search of new additions to our design team family.  If you are interested, here are two bits to chomp on BEFORE sending us a yeah or nay and your blog link:

1. You must have a blog and be familiar and comfortable with frequent entries.

2. You must be dedicated as the entire team is only as good as it's weakest link.  Everyone depends on each other and Stampotique DEPENDS ON THE DESIGN TEAM.  We would ask that you provide maybe 4 items per month using Stampotique images (we provide the rubber; you choose the images).  There might be a time when we would ask you to use a specific image.

When you send your email to Carol@Stampotique.com there are 4 items to note
1. your blog address, 2. your name,  3.what state or country you live in and  4. which one of the Stampotique artists is your favorite.
PLEASE remember to list those 4 itemsThank you.

Depending on the number of applicants received, we may or may not respond to all.

The CALL OPENS NOW and will CLOSE ON JANUARY 10th, unless we find new members before that date.     (we'll be sure to let you all know as a group). Spread the word, tell your friends; tell any men stampers that you know!

Thank you all who are interested and BONNE CHANCE!

Friendly card

Wishing You Pure Joy

Are you all ready for Christmas?  I am so close to being ready.  This was one gift I have been trying to finish all week and finally sat down last night to complete it.  Today I will finish wrapping 3 gifts before we spend the evening with family.

This week for Blogger's Challenge we were to create with the theme of "Christmas".  While my image doesn't look Christmas'y, I really felt like the sentiment was perfect for the holidays so I went with it.  The pocket was created by folding up part of the cardstock and sewing the very edge of it on both sides, slipping the gift certificate in.

I made 2 of these and apologize as the photo of the next one is horrible!  I cut my gift certificates down to the size I needed and then I worked the holder around it.  I had seen an adorable template over at Kristina Werner's blog but it was for a regular size gift card and mine was more like a folded piece of paper (a little smaller).  I did my best but didn't created underneath the same way as hers.

I used up some of my papers that I have, some scraps, some full pieces.  I know by next year I won't want to be using them so better to use them up now.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas!  Be safe!

Quick and Simple Birthday Cards

I've got a few birthdays coming up, so it was good to get the Christmas stash away and
get back to normal. As the birthdays are for males and females and I don't have a great deal of creativity going on, I thought I'd use the same stamp 2204 Give The Dog A Bone by Maryse Carrier and use 2 colourways.

The papers are both by MME and I've used rub on greetings.

I love this ~{Oh My Dear}~ stamp, I think it's the antler gloves. I shall be using him a lot this Christmas.

All Stitched Up

A faux stitched tag using the Stampotique Kisses stamp instead of stitches :0)By colouring the edge of the stamped kisses in a slightly darker tone it creates the impression of panels, that along with white highlights makes for a fab stitched effect.

Coloured using Copic markers, I also used Mary and a bird from the Birds and Bugs Cube.

For further details on this piece please check out the post on my blog :0)

Many thanks.

SDC19: Girly Girl

Kim Prince is our hostess over at Stampotique Designer's Challenge today and here is what she wrote - "I am so excited to be offering the challenge this week! It has been a dark and dreary week here in Halifax, with so much rain it's crazy! So, I would like to challenge you all to make something using a girly girl theme! I know your cards will bring some much needed sunshine to us all! This challenge is open to any and all stamps, but if you do have Stampotique stamps, we would love to see you use them! If you would like to be in the draw to win the FABULOUS $30 gift certificate from Stampotique Originals, please upload your card and share with us your creation, and you will be entered in the draw! I can't wait to see all
your creations!"

Since our November guest designer is Janet Klein, we wanted to make sure that we featured her wonderful creation over here and make sure to visit back next week as I share another one of her fantastic creations!

Happy Halloween

Hope you had a spooktacular day! Thought I'd better post this project before the day was out, or I'd have to wait until next year! I made this very simple card in a Jiffy using the latest release's over at Stampotique. The Pumpkin is from Halloween Cube 2, The sentiment and Kisses Line image is by the very talented Jo Capper-Sandon!

I love to colour on Kraft Cardstock, it requires little effort and I just like the look that you can achieve. Hope that you had lot's of sweet treats today.......I wish that Jonathon was still trick or treating, because I'd have a Candy Stash to raid..............hmmmmm off to find something sweet!

Happy Halloween,

Vicki

Pumpkin patch

Pumpkins for sale at the pumpkin patch!
PUMPKINS from HALLOWEEN CUBE 2
The pumpkins are stamped onto ready coloured card and then cut out leaving a small tab at the bottom. Cut slits in the card at the base, slip the tab through and secure underneath. This makes the pumpkins stand up proud of the surface.
Here is the salesman looking hopeful! He is WEASEL with thank you.
You can see the complete project on my blog HERE
