Stampotique Sponsors Cheerful Stamp Pad

Stampotique is sponsoring the Cheerful Stamp Pad this week and Challenge # 44 has the theme "The Sweet Life".  I know this sounds a little vague, but your creation should be about what makes life sweet to you.

It could be candy and cupcakes.  It could be hitting it big in Vegas; getting a new puppy, or even a walk in a garden.  What makes life sweet?

Want a chance to win a $30 gift certificate- then join us over at Cheerful Stamp Pad with your "Sweet" creation!

Here are some "Sweet" creations from our design team:

We can't wait to see what you create!

WhISkEr MoNsTeR with a sign !

Yep!  I colored this cute Kira Nichols image with copics and put him on one of my journaling scraps.  The flower is just another scrap with a little metal washer center.  Sentiment is computer generated and I plan to use this for a friend who needs a smile :)  This monster is great since you can put whatever you want in the "sign".  TFL  jane

Alice board

I recently made a chipboard kit up and while making it, I realised the Alice stamps by Janet Klein would be perfect for it.

I used ~{Alice}~, ~{Chessy}~, ~{Rabbit}~, ~{Mad Hatter}~, and ~{Catepillar}~. They are standing on painted air dried clay.

Believe tag!

I stamped a plain white tag with the Journey Collage stamp and inked around the edges, then added Roc's Blessed Skellie and a computer generated sentiment.
Thank you for looking and leaving a comment if you get the chance. Gez

Feathered Friends Postcard

I made this postcard for a swap entitled feathered friends and, rather than go for a bird, I thought I'd put the wings from ~{Angel Boy}~ onto ~{Karin}~ and stand her on a base made from ~{Mesh}~ with some ~{Daisy Daisy}~ flowers. It involved rather a lot of masking and lining up of stamps. And, of course, that meant there was rather a lot of swearing and calling myself a few names!

But I got it there in the end and finished off with adding Tumbled Glass DI, washi tape and doodling. Kaz xxx

May Guest Designers: Carol Quance

Hiya, my name is Carol.  I seem to have followed the path of many other people. I’ve  always loved making things – clothes for my trolls as a kid, knitting (Kaffe Fasset and Patricia Roberts) x-stitched, hardanger.  A friend then introduced me to rubber stamps about 15 years ago and I thought it  was very “twee” (guess that means very quaint/cute) but I got hooked lol. Things have  improved a lot since then as the stamping scene and my skills have developed.  I dabble with stitching and fabric too these days and love combining both in my projects. I also love fantasy Sci-Fi and music and thanks to my son my latest love is drum and bass music!

Carol has been a long time player of our Stampotique Designer's Challenges and we love her funky style. You can visit Carol over at her blog Alcoholinky.

She shares with us today one of her creations, Play with Abandon.
